| IEF-UPF activity in Central
Asia
8th of March Clifford Yank - President
of the IEF in Eurasia and Secretary General for the
IEF International arrived to Dushanbe, Tajikistan for
a special meeting with Minister of Education and 1-day
Conference for VIP.
The meeting of Clifford Yank with the Minister of Education
of the Republic Tajikistan - Rahmonov Abdujabbor Azizovich
- had place on 10th of March in the
Ministry of Education. The purpose of the meeting was
to introduce IEF activity in the CIS and ensure the
new Minister of Education of RT in the IEF readiness
for cooperation in terms of character education in the
schools of Tajikistan. Minister of Education expressed
his appreciation to IEF for investing into such important
sphere of life and confirmed the intention of Ministry
of Education for cooperation after the signing of the
contract by both sides.
On the 14th of March 2006, in Tajikistan,
Dushanbe city there was 1-day IEF/UPF Conference held
under the topic “Leadership and morals in the
movement for the world peace”. It was organized
by the local branch of IEF in Tajikistan with the great
support of 2 Ambassadors for Peace of Tajikistan, one
of them is representing Regional UPF chapter in Tajikistan.
The number of the participants - 40. Among them there
were the elder advisor of the president of the Tajikistan,
professors, rector and vice-rector of the universities,
deputy, youth committee, local press, ministry of education
representative, students etc… The event took place
in the Strategic Research Centre under the president
of the Republic Tajikistan.
The Master of the Ceremony (MC) of the Conference was
the respected person, Ambassador for Peace, Chief of
IEF Board in Tajikistan, Vice-Director of the Strategic
Research Centre under the President of RT - Safarov
Saifullo Sadulaevich.
The main speakers:
• Clifford Yank - the President of the IEF in
Eurasia with presentations on “Need for moral
and ethic education”; “The causes of conflicts
and resolutions”
• Sergey Chuprakov - the head of the IEF representation
in Tajikistan with presentation on “The universal
principles as the foundation for world peace”
• Kamalova Saodat - Ambassador for Peace, the
executive director of the humanitarian centre for elderly
under “Odamiyat” association with presentation
on “Introduction to the UPF and it’s projects”
The conference topic and contents raised the issue
of the current system of education in our homes, schools,
society as a provider of the future life in the family,
society, country and the world as a whole. Participants
could see through the slide presentations that modern
system of education based on merely academic knowledge
brought as much big progress in social life throughout
last century, as negative consequences to the individual,
family, society, nations such as moral relativism, internal
individual contradictions, family breakdown, wars. The
emphasis was on presenting in brief the new model of
the educational system created by IEF international
based on the heart and character education, and ethic
education. Academic education should be given on the
foundation of those three. This new model will provide
the future moral leaders of the society in any sphere
of the human activities which will assure the world
of peace for the future generations.
Good give-and-take between the organizers and participants
could create the effective and friendly atmosphere on
the conference.
7 new Ambassadors for Peace were appointed and received
Ambassador for Peace Certificates.
In the conclusion it was decided to have monthly meetings
with participants of the current conference to discuss
and design the projects on peace building in Dushanbe
city.
