IEF seminar in Kazakhstan

26th of April 2006 in former capital of Kazakhstan in Almaty city the workshop on a theme "Moral education for the sake of prosperity of the country. The teachers for the world" was conducted. The workshop was organized by the employees of the International Educational Foundation (IEF) of republic of Kazakhstan at support of Family Federation for World Peace and Unification (FFWPU) and Universal Peace Federation (UPF).

Among the participants there were 77 teachers from 46 schools of Almaty city including 4 directors of school and 15 deputy directors for upbringing work and 1 representative of Urban Institute of Improvement of Professional skill of the Teachers (for all 177 schools in Almaty). During the workshop the important themes concerning the approaches to moral education, questions of sexual education based upon the character education, causes and resolution of conflict were mentioned. Besides that at a workshop the IEF materials, assisting to moral education of the teenagers were submitted. The majority of the participants have got acquainted with work of IEF for the first time. The audience listened to the presentations given by IEF Eurasian Dept. President Mr. Clifford Yank and by IEF president in Kazakhstan Mr. Alexander Zhigalov. The program was visited by Universal Peace Federation (UPF) secretary general Mr. Jacques Marion who also took part in it. The workshop went over in a very benevolent and warm atmosphere.

All participants of a seminar have received the certificates in gratitude for the participation in a workshop. Also during a workshop were awarded the best schools which are already using IEF materials within several years. A management and most active teachers of these schools have received a rank and certificate "The Ambassador for Peace". At all with such certificate awarded 7 participants.

By results of the completed workshop it was decided to continue similar workshops further. The following workshop as continuation of first one was planned on May 14, 2006. Some schools have acted with the initiative of realization of similar seminars for the teachers on the basis of their school and also realization of educational lectures for the schoolboys and parents. The majority of schools expressed interest of more seriously cooperation with IEF from a beginning of the following academic year.
